So my mum took me to Paris, and it was the best experience of my life. Everyone was very friendly even though I didn’t really speak the language, the atmosphere that I got from the city in general was so welcoming and lovely.
There is nothing which compares to Paris.
We were there for 2 days and I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. The first day we did shopping (I was not going to Paris and not shopping!). We walked along the Champs-Élysées and stood by the Arc de Triomphe and just admired this beautiful city.
On the our first day in Paris we went to Angelina’s.
Angelina’s are renowned for their famous hot chocolate, and rightly so! The waitress came to us with a jug of nearly pure melted chocolate and a bowl of cream. It was incredible! If anyone is going to Paris this is the place you must go!
Then we did my favourite part! SHOPPING.
I will say now that I have never seen so many designer shops on one street! We went into Louis Vuitton , Burberry, Swarovski and so many others! We also went in the huge Disney store which was so unbelievable! Honestly I didn’t even mind not buying anything form these shops, it was the experience which I loved the most! Shopping in Paris is so magical!
T H E N E X T D A Y . . .
We went up the Eiffel Tower!
The only bad part was the queuing! We had to wait almost two hours, with somebody trying to sell us something every ten minutes! But honestly, I’m not afraid of heights and when you are down on the ground it doesn’t seem very high…
The view was the most amazing part! Not only being able to see this much of Paris from one spot but saying I have been to the top of one of the worlds most famous landmarks is a great accomplishment!
We found this incredible Italian Pizza café by the river which was delicious! It was and still is to this to this day, the best pizza I have ever eaten!
Lastly we went to this stunning church, with beautiful stained glass windows! Every single window had the most amazing colours and designs, I could have admired them all day! It was a great moment to end the trip!
So that was my weekend in Paris, and I would love to go back someday! I don’t think we could have fitted anything else in, as we almost missed our Eurostar home! But I loved every moment of it and I really think it brought me and my mum closer together.
